A great sleeper, an excellent hunter, and often a domestic king, the cat is distinguished in many ways!
1. Super Kidney
As we know, people cannot drink salty water from the sea, since this contributes to hastening their drought. On the other hand, cats can drink from the sea to survive! For their kidneys are able to scatter salt so that the animal’s body draws water and thus refreshes itself.
But if the feline organism can adapt to it from time to time, it has its limits: the food, even fatter than salt, is ill for a long time.
2. Disneyland Cats
Since the 1950s, Disneyland Park has had its own wild cats that are released every evening in the park to catch many rats there…and, of course, we’re not talking about Mickey and Minnie! In order to control their inhabitants, the colony’s members are sterile, and each of them is fed and receives veterinary care, if necessary.
Today the colony consists of about 200 people. And if they only appear very rarely, their contact with people is limited, so as to retain their fear and not fight visitors during open hours.
3. Sleeping Beauty
Did you know that cats sleep an average of 16 hours a day? If we’ve made a quick reckoning, the cat who has lived 15 years, has only watched 5 years… that’s the third of her life!
4. Hairy Oz!
Did you know that Stubbs, the mayor of Talkeetna, Alaska, is a cat without a tail? In fact, in July 1997, Stubbs, then three months old, became more local. At the beginning of their revolt, with the candidates in their race, they proposed their petition, which the inhabitants declared. With his victory he was never conquered. The city, as it is clear, does not have an official title unless it has historical district status.
Nevertheless, the daily arrival of many pilgrims attracts! Far from it it is said that the laborer is great, because he always has rest after work… which he did not. In fact, it makes his days crave, leaving him much rest to drink from a glass of savory water. Let it be allowed that three hundred or more inhabitants of the village are delighted, because, since it was established by him, no tax was paid!
5. Is it your right or left handed cat?
Did you know that, like humans, cats can be right or left? In fact, a study performed by researchers from the Ataturk University in Turkey showed that 50% of domestic cats use the right hands, 10% are remote and 40% are using it. Females are generally right-handed, but males are more easily left-handed.
To find out what kind of thing our little company cuts, we hide the handle in a roller (like an empty toilet paper roll) so that it has one hand to grab it completely (not its mouth). We then notice that he uses his foot, and we struggle to repeat the same exercise at least 12 times before closing!
